Lourinhanosaurus antunesi (Silver Proof)
The discovery of this dinosaur proved to be particularly interesting and unique as, in addition to the skeletons of three individuals, one of them quite complete, in 1993 a nest with more than one hundred eggs was also found.
This collectible coin, designed by the expert in scientific illustration Joana Bruno, emphasizes Lourinhanosaurus Antunesi´s eggs. On the obverse, we see the skeleton of an embryo, using the outline of the coin as if it were the eggshell; on the reverse, we see a new-born dinosaur looking about. (The silver version highlights the figure in the foreground using a fluorescent pigment.)
